Last Day of Cosmopolitan Work Experience

Last day guys.

Even though it wasn’t such a great experience it was still something. I get to be in Cosmo’s department. Biggest selling woman’s mag evar! So that made me proud. The staff were throwing away all these books and other freebies.

I was like O_________O jackpoot! I could of had more books but like the other girls sealed off all the other books while I was delivering a note so I was like :O *heartbreak* when I came back. Oh wells I still had a few books to keep….and 2 movies and also a nice necklace :) and a few music CDs :D

So that was the best day I guess. :)

I asked Kathy* for another week there however in the art department. The section where I want to be, where I really want to experience. So I hope I can get it :) Soon. I’ll let you guys know when I get the news ;)

Oh and there was a Jacob Barbie Doll that popped outta nowhere. *drool* Something for you guys to enjoy ;) Well obviously not as good as the real thing but it’s something lol

Cosmopolitan Work Experience: Day 4

Rightyo Day 4. It was really surprising but I recovered really quickly. It was like a miracle. I still had the sniffles but I was fit enough to go back to work. :) woohoo!

Again I’m just going to say the same thing…really nothing much. *sighs* I’m very dissapointed. Even if its for journalism I would at least expect to see a bit more insight on what these guys do. However it’s simple tasks that I have ‘already’ experienced. So not much of an experience. There was something different. Emily (the girl who was also doing work exp with me) and I went to deliever a package to this place. We sorta got lost LOL but all end well :) It was like an adventure.

Apart from that nooooothing.

Oh yea! I went shopping night :) That was the biggest highlight of my day :) I went shopping night with Domi :) We were suppose to shop at town hall Westfields after I finished but his bus came laaaaate. Nooooo :( I was a bit dissapointed but it wasn’t his fault. So I ended up going to him instead and shopped at livo westfields :) We shopped for Giorgia’s dress (his 4yr old niece’s birthday). We got her this gorgeous pink floral dress with a matching teddy outfit. I wouldn’t mind having a me size for myself :P We saw a couple of our friends (Jake & Justine) and we talked to them while we ate dinner at the food court :) It was an awesome night. I haven’t seen Domi smiled or laugh like that night for such a long time. So it made me really happy :) anyways wait for the last day of work exp guys ;)

Cosmopolitan Work Experience: Day 3

I died. X____X oooomg ok not literally died but I was dead sick. So I wasn’t able to go to work experience. I couldn’t move at all. I had no energy and I just omg it was a really bad feeling. :(

I had massive head spins, my nose would not stop running so I had to blow it every 2 seconds =.= and my throat killed and my tummy would get sharp pains now and then.

I tried to figure out how the hell did I get sick all of a sudden…then I remembered it was from the duuust! From packing all those magazines. I remember that I was constantly sneezing after that. *cries*

I really wanted to recover quickly so I could get back but I felt like I couldn’t. So I slept all day and see how I feel the next day….

Proof of my sickness. My mountain of used tissues eeeeew.

Cosmopolitan Work Experience: Day 2

Day Two Guys.

Alright. Day Two and I was hoping for a great and fun filled day :D However…

Same routine. I guess since I’m not really that interested in journalism I wasn’t that hyped. I was expecting more of looking at the studios and graphics side. The art department. buuuut oh wells. It’s still something to see, well sorta.

Did the usual morning coffee runs and photocopying and typing a lot of articles up from old magazines o______o. We packed all the old magazines into boxes that were never touched and collected dust. So they can renovate for the tv show that’s going to be on. Well lets see what day 3 brings me.

Cosmopolitan Work Experience: Day 1

I woke up at 6.00am to get ready for this special and exciting day. I was suppose to meet Dominic at 7.15am to catch the train together. Knowing me, I didnt had the time I needed to get ready in time so I was late….and made us miss the first train. my baaaad :S

However we caught they 7.40am train and got to Town Hall 20 mins earlier, so we were on time :) Both of us was dead tired. The train ride however was very romantic and nice :) but sooo stuffy and hot :( Work experience starts at 9.30am. I had like 40mins to spare since Domi had collage at 9am.

He parted to get onto the next train to North Sydney. We had our goodbye kisses and off I went to the day I’ve been waiting for.

I went maccas to have breaky. I got a egg bacon hash wrap, orange juice and an hash brown. I couldn’t eat it all because my stomach isn’t use to eating breaky :(

It was 9.15 so I decided to come in early. I got there and there was this huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge line of people waiting to get their passes…and only ONE guy was serving the whole line….due to this long line I was actually late rather than early. Graaah!

Kathy*, the editorial coordinator that was looking after me, came in to pick me up and we went up to the Cosmos department. She was nice :) There was another girl there also with me.

I walked in the room…it was dull, small, quiet and totally not what I expected but that didn’t entirely pull my hopes down because looks can be deceiving :)

There were simple tasks that were given throughout the entire day.

-Ordering coffee/breaky for the staff

-Photcopying

-Delivering and picking up items

-More photocopying

-Sitting on my ass

…..

…..

Yeeeeeah 9am-5pm and I did only like a few tasks. I was bored hut still had hopes!

I was a bit dissapointed too. This was my dream moment and I don’t know, it was awkward and uncomfortable to be in. The people in the busing had an unapproachable atmosphere to them but I’m hoping to be friends :) Not what I expected. It was only the first day so I can’t say much. But for a first day impression, not very good.

The only exciting thing about that day was on my break texting to Dominic. and Oh! LOL He had no classes. No one told him and he woke up early, bought a weekly ticket and traveled aaaaaall the way to North Sydney to find out he had no classes for the week. Oh how pissed he was *snickers*

Anyways I was actually eager to get home. It was went and rainy. I was soaking wet and got stumbled on :( Owie. I had 1 min to get on the return train home. I was so ninja and as the doors were closing BAM! I got in just in the nick of time. The train ride was reeeeeeeeeeeally long and I fell asleep but luckily i didnt miss my stop home and yea.

So First day=Meh day. So lets see what the rest of the week brings me. Better prove me wrong and bring my hopes back up.

Anyways wait for tomorrows Work experience update :)
